Utilities Press DOE Nominee To Drop Chu's Grid Plan To Bolster Renewables

Utility groups are calling on Ernest Moniz, President Obama's nominee to head the Department of Energy (DOE), to rescind a controversial plan put forward by outgoing DOE Secretary Steven Chu to restructure federally controlled power systems in the Western United States to help enable deployment of renewable energy, electric vehicles and other advanced resources.
